River City Food Bank (RCFB) is hosting an intake training day via Zoom from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. A zoom link will be provided by email close to the date of the event. You can join this event via telephone or on video call.
Volunteers assisting at intake during our emergency food distributions are the first friendly faces our guests see. Intake volunteers are responsible for collecting information from our guests and documenting that information clearly and efficiently into our database. Bilingual intake volunteers may also work as translators to help us obtain accurate information. This position requires a minimum age of 19.
During this event, you will grasp how to navigate our low-barrier intake process at both of our RCFB locations. Once your training is complete, you will be able to volunteer at our intake station when the opportunity is available.
